Tracking / Reporting
ABN online portal (My Profile / Individual CE Record). Keep your own records for at least 4 years.
Renewal Deadline
By 4:30 p.m. on December 31 — RNs/APRNs renew in EVEN-numbered years (LPNs in ODD years). The license lapses immediately if not renewed by the deadline.
Required & specialty topics
- APNs only: 6 of the 24 hours must carry Pharmacology credit.
- Courses must come from a Board-approved or Board-recognized CE provider (the ABN accepts ANCC-accredited providers).
New & first-time renewals
- Newly licensed nurses (by exam or endorsement) must complete a Board-provided 4-hour mandatory course on Board functions, the Nurse Practice Act, regulations, professional conduct, and accountability. New-license CE is prorated.
Good to know
- One contact hour = 50 minutes of organized learning.
- The Board may audit your CE; keep certificates and transcripts.
